I could not love a place of business any more than I do Jonesville Animal Hospital. Both veterinarians are incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and loving towards the animals. The staff has some of the friendliest people I've met, and their professionalism is top-notch. The facility is large, clean, and modern, and the extended hours are fantastic for working professionals. Thank you for being so great to our dog, Charlie!

Dr. Vliet and Dr. Lerman are awesome! When one of my dogs was afraid of going to the vet, they worked with me to make her visits as stress-free as possible. They go out of their way to make every visit great and the facility is clean and inviting. They know me by name when I come to buy dog food and always offer to bring it to the car for me if I have my two young daughters with me.

I have had the privilege of having Dr. Lerman taking care of our animals for over 20 years.  The compassion, knowledge and attention to detail displayed in the variety of situations we have experienced is truly amazing and appreciated. The staff at Jonesville Animal Hospital is always exceptional! Our beloved Border Collie, Mysti, was a patient there for 10 years, and we always felt as if they loved her as much as we did. Even after her passing they sent our family the most heart felt, loving message to console us. We think the world of the entire team! Now our new puppy, Boo, will enjoy their loving care too.

The Doctors and Staff at Jonesville Animal Hospital are top-notch. They stayed late, performed emergency surgeries after "normal" business hours, and made sure to call and update me of their status even though it was 9PM at night. I feel like they treat each pet as if it were their own, and always have the best interest of the pet in mind.

Jonesville Animal Hospital is simply the best! Our dogs have been patients at Jonesville Animal Hospital ever since it was first opened by Dr. Vliet and Dr. Lerman. They have cared for our whippet and our two greyhounds. The expert care, knowledge, and compassion shown to us by Drs. Vliet and Lerman and their entire team is outstanding. It is obvious that they love our dogs.

I have entrusted the care of my three dogs to Drs. Vliet and Lerman for about 10 years and am so pleased with their practice.  I like that I've never had to deal with a waiting room full of animals; they check every patient in quickly and get them into exam rooms to avoid any "doggy personality differences!" Their support staff always make my dogs feel welcomed, non-threatened and their favorite patients of all time!

The wonderful care provided to our three cats, at Jonesville Animal Hospital, makes me wish that they were my health care providers! Dr. Vliet and Dr. Lerman have given our cats exceptional care at every visit. They've helped us navigate behavior issues and patiently saw us to a resolution. I recently moved to the Gainesville area, and I was thrilled to discover Jonesville Animal Hospital. My 10-year-old Lab suffers from a few health problems and I wanted to find a top-notch local vet for her. Jonesville Animal Hospital has more than exceeded my expectations. This is by far the best service I've ever received from a veterinary hospital.

COVID-19 Service Announcement

April 1, 2020

We hope all of you are staying healthy and safe during the COVID-19 outbreak. Thank you for the patience and support that you have shown us as we implement procedural changes due to COVID-19. We truly miss our daily interactions with you, chatting at the front desk or in the exam rooms. However, we know that by following social distancing requirements, we are doing our part to protect the community and our staff. We are also extremely grateful that veterinarians were deemed an Essential Business, so that we can continue to protect the health and well-being of our patients.

Since we are remaining open as an Essential Business, and COVID-19 activity continues to grow in our county and throughout our state, we are taking further measures to safeguard our operations. Unfortunately, we will no longer be able to have pet parents enter into exam rooms. Starting Monday 4/6/20, our doctors and staff will be split into two separate medical care teams, so that in the event one team is exposed to COVID-19 or falls ill, we have the greatest chance to remain open. In addition to these new measures, we’ve updated our previous guidelines, which can be reviewed below:

  • If you have had a fever, cough, or any respiratory symptoms, have been diagnosed with COVID-19, are caring for someone with COVID-19, or have traveled outside of the US within the last 14 days, please DO NOT come to the office. If your pet needs supplies or veterinary care, please call and notify us and we will make arrangements to meet your pet’s needs.
  • Due to our staff scheduling adjustments, we are not accepting boarders at this time.
  • We are providing curbside pick up for medications, food, and supplies. Please call in advance so we can have the items prepared for you ahead of time. We will take payments over the phone prior to your arrival and then a staff member will bring the supplies out to your car.

For ALL appointment types (drop-off, exam room appointments, surgeries, baths, etc.), we ask that you call us from the parking lot when you arrive. We will collect as much information as possible and perform our usual “check in” over the phone. We will notify you when you can enter the building, using the far door that opens into the waiting area. We request that only one person accompanies your pet into the building. We have placed a station by the door with hand sanitizer, leashes, and space to sign any applicable paperwork. For our canine patients, we ask that you transfer them to one of our green leashes for our technician to use while escorting your pet to the treatment area for care. All feline patients need to be in a carrier. Unfortunately, we cannot accept pet belongings other than medications or special diets. Our veterinarians will communicate with you over the phone while you wait outside or in your car. Once everything is complete, we can process payments over the phone and have you step back inside the lobby to take your pet home.

As always, we appreciate your trust as we work together to continue providing individualized attention to your pet in a warm, caring and safe environment. If you have any extenuating circumstances or special needs, please let us know. We will do everything we can to help find a solution to help you and your pet.
