Jennifer Kesler, DVM

My journey into veterinary medicine began with my childhood love of animals, inspired by reading Jame Herriot's stories of early veterinary practice. This passion took a more focused direction when I discovered Zoo Vet by Dr. David Taylor, which led me to explore veterinary medicine as a career. During college, I gained hands-on experience with a variety of animals, including alligators, fish, turtles, and farm animals. My initial goal was to become a zoo veterinarian.
While I enjoyed the complexities of exotic animal medicine at my first practice, it was the relationships with pet owners that drew me into small animal medicine. Treating dogs and cats made me realize how much I valued the bonds formed with pet owners and their beloved animals.
I am dedicated to science-based medicine and am continually integrating new data and cutting- edge studies into my practice. I excel at working with clients who are bonded to their pets and value detailed information about their care. With a strong background in animal behavior and dog training, I love helping anxious and fearful pets feel secure and comfortable. My goal is for every pet to leave my care happier and more at ease, paving the way for less stressful future visits.
I value a collaborative environment where doctors, hospital teams, and owners work together to provide the best care. My personal pets are not just companions, but active participants in competitive agility. In my personal time, I enjoy all sorts of arts and crafts and I love anything science fiction and fantasy-related.
